Santa made some early visits to Cape Ann this weekend, checking on whether local children are being naughty or nice.
While the jolly old elf visited Gloucester the weekend after Thanksgiving, he stopped in Essex, Manchester and Rockport this weekend.
He came by boat down the Essex River on Friday night, before disembarking at the Essex Town Landing where he listened to many a youngster’s wish list.
On Saturday morning he appeared at the annual holiday Pancake Breakfast at Essex Elementary School before moving on to Manchester.
Traveling again by boat, Ole St. Nick landed at Masconomo Park then walked with local children to the Manchester Community Center where he listened to what each child’s hopes and dreams are for Christmas.
And on to Rockport, this time by lobster boat. Santa was joined by Mrs. Claus on board a fire truck at T Wharf for a short ride to Dock Square where the couple posed for pictures until the tree lighting ceremony.
