The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce Essex Division is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2013 Small Business Award, Daisy Nell and Stan Collinson, former owners of Gaybrook Garage, who will be honored at a complimentary reception on Monday June 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Periwinkles Restaurant & Bar, 74 Main Street, Essex.
“In addition to running Gaybrook Garage together very successfully for many years, Daisy Nell and ‘Captain Stan’ Collinson are talented musicians who have performed together at countless concerts, community festivals and benefits. Daisy has also been a key member of the Gloucester Schooner Festival committee from the very beginning,” said Mike Costello, former executive director of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. “They are truly deserving of this honor.”
Friends, family members, and colleagues of all small business honorees are invited and encouraged to attend the 33rd Annual Cape Ann Small Business Week Luncheon on Friday, June 7, at 11:30 am at the Castel Manor Inn, 141 Essex Avenue, Gloucester. Keynote speaker for this luncheon will be Robert Nelson, Director of the Small Business Administration’s Massachusetts District Office, on the importance of small business in sustaining the economic recovery. Tickets for the luncheon are available to members for $35 in advance or $40 week/day of and $50 for future members.
