33rd Annual Gloucester Waterfront Festival Returns To Stage Fort Park August 17 and 18

Historic Stage Fort Park along Gloucester Harbor will once again blossom into the colorful Gloucester Waterfront Festival on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18, 2013, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm each day, rain or shine. Admission is FREE.  A collection of over 175 Juried Artists and Craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations, together with live music and delicious ethnic foods. The Rotary Club of Gloucester’s annual pancake breakfast on Saturday (from 7:30 to 11:00 am) helps kick off this picture perfect seaside event!

“We are delighted to bring the Gloucester Waterfront Festival to Cape Ann for the 33rd consecutive summer, for the enjoyment and entertainment of residents and visitors alike,” said Robert Heidt, C.E.O. of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. The Festival is sponsored by the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and presented by Castleberry Fairs.

The extensive array of exhibits include: Fine Jewelry, Watercolors, Pottery, Custom Signs, Bird Houses, Quilts, Silk & Dried Floral Arrangements, Wildlife Art, Dolls, Pressed Flowers, Painted Antiques and Photography. In addition Waterfront Festival-goers can visit booths featuring all this and more: Metal Sculpture, Western Wear, Sand stone, Carved Birds, Maps, Fiber Arts, Stained Glass, Music Boxes, Scroll Work, Masks, Candles, Copper, Wood Burning, Slate, Tapestry Bags, Nautical Crafts, Shaker Style Furniture, Oils and Primitive and Folk Art.

Come and sample a cornucopia of gourmet delights including Herbal Dips, Trail Mixes, Jams and Jellies, Maple Products, Dried Fruit and Nuts, Salsa, Mustards, Vinegars and much more.

Free live “family style” entertainment includes Celtic, Ragtime Bands, Country and Folk Music, and on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm the band “Just Like Newman”. Additionally, the North Shore Old Car Club will display over 75 Antique Autos on Sunday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.
