Mission

The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote its members, provide leadership and advocacy to grow the regional economy, celebrate our culture, and enhance the quality of life for the greater Cape Ann region.

The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce commits to advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) for people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, cultures, religions, sexual orientation, races, physical abilities, gender identity, and socioeconomic status throughout our organization and across Cape Ann. It is our goal to educate our leadership, staff and members, and serve as an example for the entire Greater Cape Ann community. The Chamber will continue to work to advance IDEA initiatives by and among our members, other businesses in the Cape Ann region, local municipalities, and community organizations. The Chamber's commitment to IDEA is central to our focus on building a more vibrant and welcoming Cape Ann region.

About the Chamber

The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is one of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ fastest growing chambers, with more than 1,000 members, including small businesses, global enterprises, independent businesspeople, and civic-minded individuals. We proudly serve all five Cape Ann communities – Essex, Gloucester, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport. Much of our work is focused in these areas:

  • Promoting the region and raising the visibility of our members among residents and visitors
  • Helping businesses thrive by fostering connections, providing training and education, and offering programs that benefit these organizations
  • Addressing the economic, educational, and cultural needs of the Cape Ann region by providing support for key community priorities

The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce offers its members a broad range of resources, including three websites (more than 400,000 views annually), three annual publications (printing more than with 260,000 copies), dozens of workshops and seminars, and a number of member savings programs, referral services and networking opportunities. We work closely with community and government leaders on economic, cultural and educational initiatives, and sponsor events across the region.
