We hope this finds you all well and enjoying the beauty of the winter season on Greater Cape Ann.
We ushered in 2024 with style and celebration! Our Annual Celebration at Shalin Liu Performance Center was spectacular! The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce showcased the incredible talents of our local artists with immersive creative experiences like live paintings and a live wood carving demonstration, entertainment in the forms of spoken word, comedy, and big band jazz music and singing. The art, photography, and pottery exhibitions on display were stunning expressions of our local talent and creativity. It was an honor to illuminate the continuum of visual, literary, and performing arts and culture in our region and highlight not only how we support arts and culture, but also how art and culture support us. And it was an absolute delight to be surrounded and entertained by such talented artists of all ages!
The winter season is the perfect opportunity to explore our region and try something new. Whether your interest is trying that new restaurant, going on an outdoor adventure like the Snowy Owl Prowl on the Crane Reservation, or gathering at one of our region’s indoor venues, you will be glad you ventured out! Please check out our calendar on the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce website for many inspiring ideas and activities.
Winter on Cape Ann is also a great time to get involved with the community. The Chamber hosts a variety of committee, council, and division meetings, all designed to positively impact your community. Our Business Education Collaborative is working to promote our Annual Career and College Fair on March 7th. Last year, the event hosted 85 colleges and 50 business and non-profit organizations, all with the shared goal of supporting educational and professional growth for our high school students. We are also pleased to host the Annual Economic Outlook Breakfast at Cake Ann in Gloucester with keynote speaker Massachusetts Secretary of Labor Lauren Jones. Secretary Jones will speak to the current labor challenges facing our region and offer solutions.
We hope to see you at one of our many events or simply out and about at one of our local businesses.
As always, support locals, shop local.
Warmly,
Karen Ristuben, President, GCACC Board of Directors
Steve Buckley, CEO Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce
