ROCKPORT — When various factors aligned — likely by bit of kismet — artist David Arsenault landed back on Cape Ann and opened a gallery on Bearskin Neck.

He had visited Cape Ann with his wife, Sue Koehler-Arsenault, on two occasions, the second in August 2013 to celebrate a five-year anniversary trip. That August, they walked into Scott Tubby Fine Art on Bearskin Neck and chatted with the owner.

“We imagined new possibilities and wondered might Rockport someday be the right place to follow our dream of opening a gallery,” Arsenault said.  “That ‘someday’ arrived sooner than we expected.”
