CASE Champion- Scalfani’s Italian Bakery- Gloucester, MA
Located in the heart of downtown Gloucester, Scalfani’s Italian Bakery, has been a staple for over 30 years. Family owned and perated, Frank Scalfani was looking to brighten up his bakery while reducing the associated utility and maintenance costs. The CASE team connected with Scalfani’s bakery to offer a turnkey and comprehensive energy efficient solution fit for their needs.
Project Benefits
From the initial energy assessment, the CASE team provided Scalfani’s with a personalized energy savings plan with the recommendation to upgrade their outdated lighting to LED technology, incorporate LED lighting in their coolers to call attention to featured merchandise and install aerator kits on their water faucets to limit the use of hot water and save on the amount of water being used.
Seeing the potential, Scalfani’s opted to move forward and the energy efficiency upgrades helped the bakery hit their goals to brighten up their facility, increase employee productivity, improve safety and security, and reduce utility and maintenance costs.
