CHAMBER PRESENTS THE 2015 ECONOMIC OUTLOOK BREAKFAST FEBRUARY 27
The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Economic Outlook Breakfast on Friday, February 27, at the Elks at Bass Rocks, 101 Atlantic Road, Gloucester. Check-in and networking will start at 7:30 am and the program will begin at 8:00 am.
This year the Chamber welcomes lead speaker Ed Moscovitch, President at Cape Ann Economics, a consulting firm focused on regional economics and public policy. Moscovitch’s timely presentation will begin the program by providing an economic overview.
Moscovitch is also the Chairman and Co-Founder of the Bay State Reading Institute. He served as State Budget Director during the administration of Governor Frank Sargent Director and later as Vice President of Data Resources, Inc. – the economic forecasting firm. As President of Cape Ann Economics he performed several studies of the New England economy and interviewed the founders of many Massachusetts high-tech companies. Ed Moscovitch is a graduate of Oberlin College and earned a PhD in Economics from MIT.
The program will also include two additional speakers. Mary Sarris, Executive Director of North Shore Workforce Investment Board, will discuss regional employment. Following Sarris, Matthew Smith, Senior Development Planner for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, will conclude the program by speaking on regional factors affecting employment.
The Economic Forecast Breakfast will also feature such regular highlights as the introduction of new Chamber members, special salutes, and the chance to connect with business colleagues and elected officials.
