Cultural Sector Recovery Grants

PEM_3_cropped_more

From Erik Holmgren, Program Manager, Creative Youth Development, Mass Cultural Council

On August 8, 2022 the Mass Cultural Council launched the Cultural Sector Recovery Grants that include $51 million in funding for organizations and individuals across the commonwealth.

The funding is divided into two programs – one to support organizations whose primary mission is in the arts, humanities, or interpretive sciences and one to support individual artists, creatives, and gig workers to support recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and set a path for growth.  Information about these programs is described below.

It is both our hope and our goal to reach as many individuals and organizations across the Commonwealth as we can.  Each program prioritizes first time applicants, applicants that are located in cities and towns that are below the state’s median household income and below statewide educational attainment, and applicants that self-identify as led by and serving people of the global majority — Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Latinx, Asian, Native American, Pacific Islander, and all other ethnicities of color.

Please feel free to be in touch directly with me with any questions about the program or if there are any additional materials that would be helpful.  You may also direct prospective applicants to me with any questions they may have about the program.
