On June 21, the Ellis Family celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the launching of the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, with family and friends. Both Mayor Greg Verga and Senator Bruce Tarr were in attendance. Senator Tarr presented the Ellis Family with a citation from the state senate to commemorate the occasion.
