The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce Education and Scholarship Golf Tournament is a fun event for a great cause: advancing the Chamber’s education mission.
The net proceeds of this event help fund five $1,000 scholarships awarded annually by the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce to Cape Ann residents graduating from Essex Tech, Gloucester High School, Manchester-Essex Regional High School and Rockport High School. In addition to the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, the Chamber awards four scholarships named in honor of past leaders: Mike Costello, Sylvester (Red) Deering, Rudy Macchi, and Patricia Roy D’Alelio.
The Chamber will also be awarding one $2,000 scholarship, named in honor of Mr. & Mrs. L. Dexter Woodman and provided annually thanks to the generosity of the Woodman Scholarship Fund in Essex.
The deadline for area high school seniors to apply for these scholarships is Friday, April 23. For more information, including scholarship applications, please click here. The applications will be reviewed by the Chamber’s Scholarship Committee, comprised of Freddi Doeringer, Sue Lufkin, Carol Morse, Richard Nestel, Gretchen Parker, Karin Porter, Richard Ross and Bonnie Scatterday.
