Tourism Council: Spotlighting May 11 Spring Mixer and Exciting Times Ahead in 2023
Each year, the Spring Tourism Mixer helps usher in the busiest seasons for our visitor-based economy, and that will be the case when we gather on May 11 in Ipswich. The spectacular Crane Estate will be setting for the 2023 Spring Tourism Mixer that Thursday evening, and the Tourism Council used its April meeting to plan for this special event.
“Looking Ahead” is the theme of this year’s Mixer, and the Council will give any member of the Cape Ann’s tourism community an opportunity to share their updates and distribute promotional materials. There will also be plenty of time for networking and tours of the Great House.
In our April Tourism Council meeting, we identified topics we hope to discuss at the Mixer, including the 2023 calendar, cross-promotional opportunities, and “soft season” plans. We discussed off-season opportunities like winter birding, Discover Gloucester’s Swing into Spring campaign, and possible signature events across Cape Ann. We also began discussion around a centralized booking system for Cape Ann tourism and cooperative efforts with other Chamber councils and committees focused on arts & culture, diversity, and NextGen initiatives
All this and more will be part of the May 11 Spring Tourism Mixer. RSVP at bit.ly/SpringTourismMixer
As you’ll hear at the Mixer, the early months of 2023 have been an exciting time for the Cape Ann tourism community, and the remainder of the year promises to be even more extraordinary, with Gloucester 400 happenings, our popular spring and summer events, and fall milestones like Blackburn Brew Fest and Cape Ann Plein Air.
To be part of the continuing conversations around Cape Ann’s growing visitor-based economy and the exciting opportunities ahead, join us at the Spring Tourism Mixer – and at the monthly meetings of the Tourism Council. We meet on the third Friday of each month at the Greater Cape Ann Chamber offices or via Zoom.
