Time to clean off those golf clubs in preparation for the annual Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce Business Education Golf Tournament!
The Chamber will host the 26th annual event at the beautiful Bass Rocks Golf Club on Monday, May 18, 2015. Proceeds from the event help to provide scholarship support for students of our Cape Ann high schools.
Tee time is at 1:00 pm and it is a shotgun start scramble. Individual golfers can sign up for $175 each or $700 for a team of four the fee includes a cart, clubhouse facilities, fun snacks throughout the course, a tournament Bass Rocks golf shirt, an opportunity to win a new car from Sudbay Motors with a hole in one, raffle of a new set of Titleist AP2 Irons, many other players raffle items and an awards dinner. Through the efforts of the Cape Ann Chamber, over $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded to area students dating back more than 25 years! This tournament is an important element of the Chamber’s Mission Education Platform, to connect business to our Cape Ann schools to enhance the overall quality of education and business preparedness of our youth. School administrators and business leaders from all four communities have been instrumental in helping to provide students with the necessary tools to further education. Students that have been awarded Chamber scholarships have attended such schools as Bates College, Penn State University, Dartmouth College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
