The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is welcoming all to join in its 25th annual Community Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at 2 p.m.
Children in preschool, kindergarten, and first grade are welcome to have pictures taken with the Easter bunny after the indoor egg hunt at the Rockport Community House, located at 58 Broadway.
Chamber officials also wanted to thank local businesses’ and individuals’ donations that made the event possible.
Mark your music calendars
Rockport schools can fill your weekend with concerts from the middle, high school and elementary school bands, choruses, and orchestras, all performing in 7 p.m. shows next week in the John Lane Auditorium at Rockport High.
The Rockport Middle School band, chorus, and orchestra concert is scheduled for Monday, while the high school band, chorus, and orchestra concert will be held Tuesday and the elementary band, chorus, and orchestra concert will be next Thursday evening.
Spring series
February snowstorms prevented the Rockport Public Library from showing all of the movies that had been planned to help people escape the winter doldrums. In response to public requests, the library has continued to reschedule some of the cancelled screenings.
The Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey production of “The Hundred-Foot Journey” starring Helen Mirren will be shown on Wednesday at 2 p.m. In this comedy, two worlds collide when the owner of a Michelin-starred French restaurant in southern France learns that a culinary immigrant is opening an Indian restaurant 100 feet from her own establishment.
