The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 9 to celebrate the full-time summer opening of Kestrel Educational Adventures. The ceremony took place at 187 Main St., Gloucester.
Kestrel’s Get Outside Center will be open all summer, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
The ribbon cutting also showcased work by grade K-6 field program students. The Student Work Showcase featured maps, field guides, videos, habitat sculptures and more.
Based on Main Street in Gloucester, Kestrel is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that aims to inspire a sense of wonder, understanding and connection to the natural world through playful, outdoor, scientific inquiry. For information: http://kestreleducation.org.
