Spring is in bloom on Greater Cape Ann! We are excited to welcome our seasonal guests and enjoy the beauty Mother Nature delivers each Spring to our splendid region.
Our Board of Directors and Chamber Team continue to focus on our 2023 priorities including “Connecting Commerce and Community”. Regarding this new initiative, we are working to improve cross promotion of services and events, to enhance cultural initiatives, and to increase our visibility as a place to live, work, visit and play while growing our economy in a responsible and thoughtful way.
On May 8th, we literally swing into Spring with our 1st Annual Women’s Swing into Spring Learn to Golf and 9-hole golf Tournament, and later that month is our 34th Annual Business Education and Scholarship Golf Tournament at Bass Rocks Country Club in Gloucester on May 22nd.
We are excited to announce the addition of Spring events including Spring Into Essex: Essex in Bloom, Spring in Rockport, the 2nd Annual WellFest Community Health & Wellness Fair, and Motif #1 Celebrations in Rockport—check the Chamber website for details!
The Annual Tourism Mixer is May 11th at The Great House at The Crane Estate in Ipswich. The Mixer is an opportunity for us to collaborate on year-round tourism promotion and cross promotion of our businesses with major events in the region. And the location is spectacular!
Our committee meetings are dynamic collaborations with a focus on annual progress. We are in the midst of preparing for upcoming events while planning for future 2023 events and initiatives. We invite you to join a committee of interest, as this is an impactful way to engage in the Chamber’s mission, give back to our communities, and network with your peers while having fun at one of our many host businesses.
As always, feel free to reach out to the Chamber if you would like to get more involved.
Respectfully,
Loran Caputo, Board President Steve Buckley, CEO
