Due to the request of grant applicants, Mayor Verga is extending the signage grant application until next Friday, June 24 at 12:30 PM.
The City of Gloucester, in partnership with the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce a retail signage improvement grant program. Approximately 18 businesses will be awarded a grant of up to $5,000 to improve their storefront signage, awning, and/or sign-related lighting. The purpose of the program is to improve the visual quality of the city’s retail business districts and to enhance the business districts as a place to visit, shop, and work.
The target locations for this grant program are the retail business districts, neighborhood business districts, village, and extensive business districts located in Downtown Gloucester, Magnolia, Lanesville and Rocky Neck. All signage improvements must comply with the City of Gloucester’s Sign Ordinance.
The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce held a virtual informational session for all Gloucester businesses on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. A recording of this session is at the bottom of this blog post..
