Who are you and what is your business?
My name is Matt Kirschner and I am a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Ipswich. The Edward Jones partnership is over 100 years old and we have served Ipswich for approximately 15 years now. We have a growing ~5-person office.
Please provide a brief description of your company.
Edward Jones is a full-service wealth manager. We provide brokerage services, financial planning and life insurance. I work with my clients to identify their goals and build strategies to achieve those goals, protect their wealth, and plan for the future.
What inspired you to start your business and what keeps you going?
I am passionate about financial markets, tax management, and financial independence. I enjoy helping business owners start, expand, and transition their businesses along with their wealth. My background is based on fundamental research with an emphasis on cash flow management. I like to apply those same analytics to individuals seeking to grow their wealth.
What aspect of your business are you most passionate about?
I enjoy investment management and financial planning equally but my favorite part is working with clients to discover their goals and then creatively achieve them.
Is there something unique about your business that you’d like to share that most people wouldn’t know about?
We focus on individual advice and personal relationships. Every client works with me directly and has full access when they need it.
What sets your business apart from other similar businesses?
We are a private partnership with a national scale. We always put the clients first and my goals are aligned with the client’s outcomes,
Do you have a goal you want the business to achieve in the next one, 5, or 10 years?
want to strategically expand our services throughout Cape Ann and better serve our neighboring communities.
Why do you love the Greater Cape Ann region and doing business locally?
I am a resident of Newbury and an advocate for the North Shore. Cape Ann is a special place with so much to offer to businesses, families, and visitors. We have a unique coastal culture and it is amazing to share with our local purveyors.
As someone doing business in this area, how has or how can the Chamber help your business?
The chamber can help me gain recognition so everyone can get to know me, understand our outlook and trust the outcomes of working together. I am hopeful the Chamber can help me better serve this community through work and service.
