The Greater Cape Ann Chamber is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Cape Ann branch of SCORE to provide free business counseling to local businesses. The Cape Ann Branch of SCORE has weekly use of the Chamber meeting room from 9 AM -12 noon on Tuesdays beginning July 12. SCORE will provide one free hour of business counseling both to Chamber members and non-members. Counseling may continue indefinitely with each client on a mutually agreeable basis depending on their needs and SCORE’s evaluation of their commitment to their own goals. Depending on the level of interest, SCORE may expand their counseling services to others days of the week.

SCORE, an associate of the SBA, is a nationwide group of over 12,000 business executives who volunteer their time to help entrepreneurs who wish to start, expand, or deal with specific problems in their existing business. Our Cape Ann Branch of SCORE offers team counseling because it is our experience  that our varied backgrounds offer a broad range of experience that allows us to guide our clients through all phases of business: from planning to start a new business to dealing with all of the issues any business encounters from product (or service) development, market research, sourcing and manufacturing, marketing and sales, customer service, employee relations, financial issues and others.  Each mentoring session is driven by the client’s situation and by their evolving needs. All SCORE mentors sign a Code of Ethics that requires us to keep all client matters completely confidential and to keep our relationship with our clients at a professional and arms-length distance. SCORE counseling is free and can be as frequent or on-going as the client needs.
