Who are you and what is your business?

Sidoti Gallery of Fine Art, located at 11 Main Street in Rockport, Massachusetts, is a vibrant art gallery founded in 2022 by national award-winning artist Rosalie Sidoti.

Please provide a brief description of your company.

Sidoti Gallery of Fine Art is a distinguished space dedicated to showcasing exceptional work featuring Rosalie Sidoti and 36 other award-winning artists. In addition, a carefully curated collection of historical pieces offers visitors a window into the past. The collection blends all mediums and demonstrates classical techniques with contemporary expression.

What inspired you to start your business, and what keeps you going?

Rosalie Sidoti is the heart and visionary behind the Sidoti Gallery of Fine Art. After the passing of her beloved husband, Jim Iacono, Rosalie channeled a space where creativity and remembrance could flourish. She founded the gallery as a tribute to Jim’s spirit, honoring his memory while nurturing a vibrant artistic community.

What aspect of your business are you most passionate about? (history, conversation pieces, etc.)

At the Sidoti Gallery of Fine Art passion lives in every brushstroke, every work of art, and every detail, a place where love for art and life itself is celebrated with heart and soul.

Is there something unique about your business that you’d like to share that most people wouldn’t know about?

By making contemporary art accessible and immersive, the Sidoti Gallery of Fine Art has quickly become a heartbeat for the community offering art classes on Thursday morning in the Gallery. (There is currently a wait list). Rosalie understands the privilege of being an artist, the importance of teaching, mentoring and continuous learning. These qualities are the forefront of her artistic journey. With that, she has dedicated herself to share this knowledge with other artists and students.

What sets your business apart from other similar businesses?

The Sidoti Gallery, combines artistic excellence, curated diversity, and a deep-rooted commitment to education and community engagement. The gallery offers demonstrations to groups. The Gallery features two rooms showcasing more than 100 paintings, this extensive collection offers visitors a rich and varied visual experience.

Do you have a goal you want the business to achieve in the next one, 5, or 10 years?

The goal of the Sidoti Gallery is to continue building relationships with the greater Cape Ann community, established and emerging artists, and forging more business partnerships.

Why do you love the Greater Cape Ann region and doing business locally?

Cape Ann is home to me. I love the community because it’s filled with people who share the same values of creativity, collaboration, and support for local businesses. We grow together, and the relationships I’ve built with other local business owners, artists and community members make my work so much more rewarding and impactful.

As someone doing business in this area, how has or how can the Chamber help your business?

The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce advocates on behalf of small businesses, and it represents their interest at local, state and national levels. The Chamber also creates valuable, networking opportunities that can lead to collaborations, partnerships, and new customer bases.
